A second consecutive victory for the first netball team

Redhill's first netball team legacy will inspire future generations to strive for excellence and approach every challenge with the same tenacity that defines today's champions.

In the pulsating heart of athletic competition, where determination meets skill and teamwork converges with strategy, the 1st netball team of Redhill School has once again emerged victorious, clinching the championship cup for the second consecutive year.

At the Saheti Netball Festival, the girl’s relentless pursuit of excellence, combined with a flair for the game, not only defended their title but elevated their status to that of undisputed champions.

Mandy Roff, the school’s communication person, said the journey towards this remarkable achievement began long before the first whistle blew in the championship match.

“It was a journey marked by dedication, discipline and an unwavering commitment to honing their skills. The girls of the 1st netball team displayed a level of tenacity that is truly commendable.”

She added they began with a 21–0 win against Curro Thatch Field and secured a solid 27–1 victory against Hyde Park, which were just some highlights. Facing Mondeor HS, Redhill scored 14 points to clinch the victory. In the semi-finals, they triumphed over Reddam Bedford View 16–8.

“In an intense final showdown against Saheti, Redhill showcased remarkable resilience. Despite a tight first half (6–4), they surged ahead, allowing Saheti only one score in the final half. The triumphant final score of 15–5 secured Redhill netball 1st team girls as champions of the Saheti Netball Festival.”

Roff concluded by saying that the school is proud of the team and their hard work.
