Rams Attorneys walk away as Discovery Soccer Park tournament winners
Out of the 20 men's teams, and four women's teams, that competed in the Discovery Soccer Park Tournament, Vigorous defeated Greyhounds Football Club to win the women's division, and Rams Attorneys defeated Fomo Football Club to win the men's.
Discovery Soccer Park came alive on November 7 when the stands were filled with applause, cheers, and encouragement for the women’s and men’s football teams.

The annual soccer tournament saw 20 men’s and four ladies’ teams brave the scorching sun and compete for gold medals, a trophy, and a prize cheque worth R 20 000.
Discovery Soccer Park head of operations Selby Mogale explained: “Out of 20 men’s teams, eight were international teams who traveled to SA for the tournament. Two of the eight international teams managed to qualify for the quarter-finals, but did not progress beyond that stage.”

Mogale added that league regulars Fomo Football Club and Rams Attorneys’ games were closely contested. “Rams Attorneys won the game 3–2 and took the bragging rights, the gold medals, the trophy, and the cheque. We had individual prizes for best goalkeeper, best player, and top goal scorer.”
The women’s division had four teams and was won by Vigorous who defeated Greyhounds Football Club, 2–0. The winner took prize money of R2 000.
