2025 was a year of growth and change for The IIE’s Varsity College Sandton

The IIE’s Varsity College Sandton marked a year of transformation, innovation, and new beginnings as they say goodbye to 2025.

As 2025 draws to a close, The IIE’s Varsity College Sandton has plenty to celebrate, from breaking ground on a brand-new campus, to helping hundreds of people access justice for free.

The year began on a strong note with the opening of the mega law clinic in Randburg, a partnership between The IIE’s Varsity Colleges Sandton, Waterfall, and IIE MSA.

Since its launch in March, the clinic has already managed more than 100 cases, offering free legal advice, mediation, and court representation to vulnerable and marginalised members of the community.

Head of campus Kimberly McIntyre said: “This initiative has been about more than just law students gaining experience; it’s about giving back, using what we know to make a real difference in people’s lives.”

Mclntyre said the college also made major strides in infrastructure this year, with construction of its new state-of-the-art campus on Grayston Drive now nearing completion. “The new space, which will be shared with IIE-Vega School Johannesburg, promises to redefine the student experience.”

She added that it will feature a double-storey library, with collaborative and private study zones, an indoor sports centre, fit for SuperSport coverage, and even a podcast room, where students can create and share original content. “A Student Relations Centre will also offer career guidance, free counselling, and an access and inclusion office, to ensure that every student feels supported.”

McIntyre concluded by describing 2025 as a year of transformation, growth, and remarkable milestones… One they will always treasure.
