Michael Mount welcomes 2026 SRC

Diverse, collaborative, and full of heart, meet Michael Mount Waldorf School's 2026 SRC leaders, shaping a community of connection.

Michael Mount Waldorf School has announced its 2026 student representative council (SRC), a group of learners dedicated to fostering school spirit, strengthening communication, and ensuring that every student’s voice is heard.

They lead with love and devotion, striving to nourish the unique capacities of every learner, while awakening the intelligence, compassion, and courage to be active participants in the shared human experience.

Each high school class is represented by two learners, creating a platform for collaboration across grades, and led by the leadership team for 2025/26, which consists of Luca Amerseder, Ciara Grubb, Amaya Fang Da Fonseca, Riley Pearman, and Mia Topp, a group of dedicated matric students who volunteered to serve the school community.

For Ciara, the decision to join the SRC was driven by a desire to give back. “I wanted to contribute to the Michael Mount community in a way that aligns with my strengths. I work best in creative and independent settings, and being on the SRC lets me help others do the same.” She describes leadership within the Waldorf philosophy as being approachable, supportive, and collaborative.

Luca shares a similar belief in leadership through service. “In a Waldorf school, leadership is a gentle, supportive process that benefits everyone.” He hopes the 2026 SRC will lay a strong foundation for what future SRCs can achieve and uphold.

Amaya sees leadership as an act of listening. “To lead, you must be able to listen. Our diversity is our strength. We bring different perspectives, but our ethos unites us.” She adds that the most rewarding part of her SRC experience has been the people, how they uplift and support each other.
