Ward 81 councillor shares vision for 2026

As 2026 begins, Ward 81 Councillor Joanne Horwitz has shared a message of hope and aspiration, encouraging residents to enter the new year with clarity, optimism, and a shared sense of responsibility for their community and city.
Addressing residents at the start of the year, Horwitz highlighted the importance of reflecting on personal and collective goals.

“As 2026 begins, may we all enter the year with optimism and clarity of what we wish to see take place to improve our lives, grow the community we live in, and move our city toward the fairness, accountability, and progress we all deserve,” she said.
She described the new year as an opportunity for renewed commitment to values that support strong, resilient communities.
“Let this be a time for setting new goals, embracing new ideas and recommitting ourselves to holding by values that shape healthy, thriving communities,” Horwitz said.
