Ndu Ncube says that Next Generation Tennis will have more tournaments in 2023 that will promote individual growth for the players.

For the founder and coach of Next Generation Tennis, Ndu Ncube, situated at George Lea Park, perfecting and discovering the skills of young talents has always been his priority.

Ncube who has been a professional tennis coach for more than a decade welcomed the new year in high spirits as he started his plans and lessons on January 5.

“A new year brings with it new challenges and we strive to bring out the best in all our players and ensure that they finish the year better than when they started,” said Ncube.

While discussing his plans for the new year, the founder of NGT mentioned that the organisation’s focus will be on his students participating in more competitions to ensure ultimate preparation. “We are not planning on changing our formula, but we are focusing on building the vision. We look to encourage players to compete more. A lot of players take lessons but don’t really get into a competitive environment. So, we are looking to grow our number of competitors even with players outside of NGT,” said Ncube.

According to Ncube, the key elements of becoming a great tennis player is discipline and consistency. He mentioned that the organisation will host at least two tournaments a month.

“In the next five years, Next Generation Tennis will be a premium event host. We have programmes in the pipeline that are geared towards inviting international players from all levels and this will foster a culture of competition beyond borders and give opportunities to more players rather than a select few,” concluded Ncube.
