Celebrating shared values, and cultural diversity at DP World Wanderers Cricket Stadium

Indian Carnival: Celebrating festivals of India and commemorating 75 years of India and 30 years of South Africa.

The India Club hosted an extraordinary India Day celebration that showed the diversity of Indian culture.

With the captivating theme of Festivals of India, this year’s event was held at the Wanderers Cricket Stadium in the heart of Johannesburg.

The day started with an awe-inspiring lineup of 45 performances, featuring an impressive ensemble of 600 talented artists.

The remarkable showcase included 10 exceptional local performances, 15 captivating representations from various Indian states, and 18 thrilling exhibitions by outstanding artists from Johannesburg.

According to the India Club, the event aimed at providing a remarkable blend of festivity, unity, and cultural pride, embracing a kaleidoscope of colours, traditions and jubilation, as they honoured and celebrated the enduring legacy of India and South Africa.

“Amid this vibrant celebration, India Club seizes the opportunity to commemorate 75 illustrious years for India and 30 remarkable years for South Africa. These milestones in the histories of both nations amplify the event’s meaning, celebrating shared values, cultural diversity, and the profound bonds between India and South Africa,” said the club.
