Operation Shanela yields results for Sandton SAPS

SAPS members arrested suspects in Sandton and surrounds as part of Operation Shanela.

The Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela, was joined by senior management of SAPS – and other law enforcement agencies – as he led the multidisciplinary Operation Shanela in Sandton on September 7.

Operation Shanela’s aim was to stamp the authority of Sandton’s policing utilities in their ceaseless fight against lawlessness in the area, as well as towards maximising police visibility.
