BPMS learners created Springbok jerseys from recycled packaging materials. Some learners wore elaborately crocheted garbs made from plastic bags, others made vests and accessories from paper bags.

“We put a new spin on Bok Friday. For the last few weeks, we allowed the children to come to school with Springbok jerseys to support the team in the Rugby World Cup,” said BPMS principal Ilse Du Preez. “We decided to get creative and make outfits from Checkers shopping bags. Learners were still allowed to wear their Springbok jerseys, it was just to make it a little bit fun.”

It was unanimous that Faf De Klerk (as represented by learner Heigardt Schultz) be awarded the gift for the best-dressed learner in BPMS wishing the Springboks all the best.
