Water relief measures announced for Sandton clinics, schools, and retirement villages

Residents in parts of Illovo, Parkmore, Sandown, and Morningside will now have access to alternative water sources, as JoJo tanks are installed during the water outage they're currently facing.

Johannesburg Water (JW) has announced the placement of alternative water supply points, as pipe repairs continue at the Illovo reservoir and tower on Pretoria Avenue.

The update, issued on May 9 at 12:15, details JoJo tank placements and facilities that have been equipped with a water supply to support affected residents.

According to the statement, JoJo tanks will be installed starting tonight, May 9, and will be filled to half capacity to prevent theft or displacement by wind.
