Paul Harvey appointed as the new president of Rotary Sandton
Rotary Club of Sandton members gathered at Bryanston Country Club to celebrate a new chapter as Paul Harvey was officially inducted as the club’s president.
The elegant ambiance of Bryanston Country Club set the perfect scene on June 24 as the Rotary Club of Sandton held its presidential induction ceremony, welcoming Paul Harvey as the new leader of the esteemed club.
Surrounded by fellow Rotarians, community leaders, and friends, Harvey stepped into his role with a vision to ensure the continuity and success of the club through membership growth, impactful projects, and deeper community.
One of Harvey’s most exciting initiatives for his term is launching a mentorship programme aimed at bridging the gap between young people’s aspirations and their future potential.

“We’re bringing together experienced mentors from our club to work with 17 to 25-year-olds. It’s a very new and exciting project for our club, and I believe it will make a significant impact.”
Harvey reaffirmed the core values of Rotary, and said: “Service above self and the four-way test as guiding principles. Everything we do must be centered around serving others and living by our principles.”

Addressing potential challenges, Harvey acknowledged the loss of some key members but expressed confidence in the club’s capacity to replace and train new leaders. “We have many capable individuals ready to step up, and I’m confident we will succeed in our goals,” he added.
