Halaal Brows comes to South Africa

Local entrepreneur Unaiza Suliman brings a beauty concept rooted in faith as she opens the first Halaal Brows in South Africa.

In an attempt to blend grooming with faith, Sandton entrepreneur and trendsetter Unaiza Suliman has launched Halaal brows in South Africa.

Already a global hit through her website: halaalbrows.com, the idea is now officially available to local women seeking a faith-conscious beauty solution.

Unlike traditional brow grooming methods, which involve plucking, threading, waxing, or trimming, Halaal Brows uses a unique bleaching technique to soften stray hairs without removing them. The result is polished, natural-looking brows that remain true to Islamic values.

“For years, women have had to choose between staying well-groomed and adhering to their beliefs. Halaal Brows changes that,” said Suliman. “It’s a solution that respects both beauty and faith.”

She added that the launch marks the first time Halaal Brows has been introduced in South Africa, making her a pioneer in inclusive beauty practices.

Her online platform has already gained international recognition as a space for education and empowerment, and now she is bringing that movement closer to home.

“With inclusivity at its heart, Halaal Brows gives Muslim women the confidence to embrace self-care, while staying aligned with their principles. It also opens new doors for beauty professionals and salons, offering a service that sets them apart in a competitive market.”

Suliman explained that this is more than a beauty treatment. “It is about empowering women, creating space for diversity in beauty, and making sure no one feels left out.”
