Reflecting on 2025, Stewart acknowledged the difficulties faced by the community, including water and electricity outages, Pikitup service delays, and a decline in the overall appearance of neighbourhoods.
“2025 has been a challenging year for our ward. Our communities have experienced service delivery issues and a deterioration in the look and feel of our streets,” he said.
However, Stewart also highlighted signs of optimism emerging from the political landscape.

“Despite these challenges, credible polls and surveys indicate a watershed moment. Residents are showing a newfound trust and a desire for change. This is inspiring, not just for me as a politician, but as a South African.”
Stewart emphasised that meaningful recovery and improvement would take time.
“Our problems will not disappear overnight. Recovery requires dedication and commitment. But what gives me hope is that this shift is people-driven. I am committed to earning the trust and confidence of those ready for a fresh approach,” he concluded.
