Ward 102 residents reminded to register to vote this weekend

Residents can also verify their registration details using the IEC’s official online platforms.

Residents of Ward 102 are reminded that the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) voter registration weekend is taking place today and tomorrow, ahead of the upcoming ward by-election in February.

The by-election follows the resignation of the ward councillor in November, and only residents who are correctly registered in Ward 102 will be eligible to vote.

Voters are encouraged to take a few minutes to check that they are registered at the correct address and in the proper ward, even if they have voted before.

Residents who are not correctly registered may not be able to participate in the by-election.

IEC voting stations in Ward 102 include Laerskool Fontainebleau, Bordeaux Primary School, Blairgowrie Community Centre, St Stithians Girls’ College, and Bryanston High School.

Registration stations will be open from 08:00 to 17:00 on both days.
