Wanderers B captain Teri Watson praised her young squad for their continued growth throughout the season. “Our team is a school of youngsters coming up into senior hockey, and the girls are playing amazing. It’s been a really cool experience and they’re growing every single match we play. We’re happy.”

Johannesburg South captain Crystal Lee congratulated Wanderers on the victory, while acknowledging the effort of her own side. “We’ve just witnessed one of the toughest games we’ve played.”
