Following its media launch event held at The Artistry in Sandton, Proudly South African has officially opened entries for Local Fashion Police 2026, giving fashion lovers a chance to win grand prizes of designer fashion while celebrating local style.

Entries for the Local Fashion Police 2026 are officially open, giving fashion enthusiasts across South Africa the opportunity to celebrate local style while standing a chance to win incredible prizes.

Proudly South African officially launched the sixth edition of its flagship fashion campaign during a media event held at The Artistry in Sandton on August 4.

The annual initiative continues to shine a spotlight on South Africa’s thriving fashion industry, while encouraging consumers to support locally designed and manufactured clothing.

Speaking at the media launch event, Proudly South African CEO Eustace Mashimbye said this year, the Local Fashion Police promise to offer a sensory journey, marking the key milestones of the event through an immersive fashion experience and a captivating fashion spectacle that will culminate in an engaging runway exhibition.

“More than the fashion, the Local Fashion Police campaign is also facilitating access to local excellence, encouraging consumers to make conscientious purchasing decisions, fostering job creation, and increasing the uptake of locally produced products that are loved here, made here.”

The media launch also unveiled the designers and judges of the 2026 Local Fashion Police: Mpumelelo Dhlamini, CEO of Ezokhetho, Anel Botha, CEO and designer of Anel Botha Couture, Thabo Makhetha, CEO of Thabo Makhetha, and Rivaldo Louw, popularly known as By Waldo.
