Phoenix Trophy golf tournament great success in Bryanston

Bryanston Country Club’s popular Phoenix Trophy saw dozens of golfers take to the green for a great weekend.

Local golfer champions Jono Bolleurs, Charles Bishop, Brett Bishop, and Greg White have recently crowned this year’s 2022 Phoenix Trophy champions.

Bryanston Country Club’s (BCC) most popular trophy tournament brought dozens of golfers together at the local course.

Team Woodsmen finished the weekend-long tournament with a total score of 160.

“We were blessed with fabulous weather, great golf and an amazing vibe at the club,” said BCC marketing manager Tilani Edwards.

Simon Hill proudly hit a hole-in-one.

She added that the club’s new golf captain Geoff Kamps and Tessa Bentley also produced great results across the tournament.

“[Both] did us proud with long and straight shots down the fairway. Legend has it that their drives will predict the financial success of the Club – dare I say that we are in for a very successful year.”

Another highlight over the weekend was a phenomenal hole-in-one on the ninth by local golfer Simon Hill.
