Bryanston Primary School hosted its annual golf day at the Bryanston Country Club towards raising funds for additional solar panels and general maintenance.
“I think the beauty about this event is that we have some amazing relationships with businesses in Bryanston; it’s a supportive community,” said the school’s golf day coordinator, Tami Soden.
Principal Morné Marx said about 88 golfers participated in the event on August 25, which has been held by the school annually since 2017 – with the exception of 2020, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The principal’s assistant, Verna Bester added that the event garnered 27 sponsors towards making the event a success. “The golf day is to raise money for our school for solar panels so we can go off the grid and have uninterrupted teaching and learning.”
