Weigh-in sets up Sandton for Knockout Chaos 2
Aquila Boxing Promotions has raised the stakes ahead of Knockout Chaos 2, with ambassador Kevin Lerena announcing up to R240 000 in knockout bonuses.
The stage is set for an explosive night of boxing after all 16 fighters successfully made weight during a packed official Knockout Chaos 2 weigh-in at The Galleria Events Venue in Sandton on July 24.
Hosted by Aquila Boxing Promotions (ABP), the event drew boxing fans and industry figures ahead of Saturday’s fight card, with excitement building around eight professional bouts.

Adding even more incentive, ABP ambassador Kevin Lerena announced that the promotion is once again rewarding fighters who deliver spectacular finishes. “We want to pay out essentially R240 000 in bonuses for whoever wins in round one. We’re not afraid to do that to enrich fighters and their teams, because boxing is a very hard sport.”

The knockout bonus, first introduced during the inaugural Knockout Chaos event earlier this year, rewards stoppage victories, with a maximum bonus of R30 000 for a first-round knockout. The prize money decreases with each successive round. “We’re trying our best to put on exciting matchups that drive content, drive viewership, and keep the shows thrilling. That’s the heart of our strategic partnership with SuperSport.”
