Hyde Park rolls out the red carpet for Dear Sis Dolly

A star-studded crowd gathered at Nu Metro Hyde Park for the exclusive screening of Dear Sis Dolly.

Movie lovers and local celebrities gathered at Nu Metro Hyde Park on July 4 for the watch party of the new South African film Dear Sis Dolly.

The screening celebrated a proudly local production directed by Twiggy Matiwana and featuring a strong ensemble cast, including Didintle Khunou, S’Thandiwe Kgoroge, Dineo Langa and Natasha Thahane.

The film centres on Mmabotsana, a social worker from Mamelodi whose struggling psychology practice prompts her to apply for the coveted Sis Dolly advice columnist position at Drum magazine.

Shortlisted alongside two younger candidates, Rameetsa and Paseka, she must prove herself during a three-month probation before editor-in-chief Melody ‘MM’ Makaringe selects the magazine’s next trusted agony aunt.
