Successful conviction for Evaton SAPS

The man from Evaton Ward road was apprehended for tampering with essential infrastructure.

SEBOKENG. – A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to 8 years for tempering with essential infrastructure in Evaton.

Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said that in July 2022 the man from Evaton Ward road was apprehended for tampering with essential infrastructure at Adams Road Evaton adjacent to Ntsele Primary School.

“The accused was caught in the act of excavating an Eskom electric cable. On March 13, this year the accused was found guilty of tampering with essential infrastructure by the Sebokeng Magistrate Court and was sentenced to eight years of direct imprisonment. The investigation of the matter was conducted by Detective Sergeant Malindi who made sure that he left no stone unturned.,” Msibi said.
