SHARPEVILLE. β Sefiso Mthimkhulu a social media sensation has won many hearts on TikTok with his angelic voice singing acapella and gospel songs.
The grade 12 pupil at Lekoa Shandu Secondary School in Sharpeville said music has been part of his life since an early age.
Taking from his late parents who were also into music, the 18-year-old explained what music means to him and how he plans to mold it as a career.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Mthimkulu said βI started singing at a very young age because I always enjoyed hearing my parents sing. I mostly prefer singing acapella and gospel songs because they soothe broken hearts.β
Mthimkhulu who boasts 1444 followers on TikTok said he uses the platform to reach more audiences than singing on the streets of his community.
βEvery chance I receive I sing, be it on street corners and at my school. We live among many people with broken hearts and if singing heals them, Iβm willing to share my use every day,β he said.
Asked where he sees himself, Mthimkhulu said he wants to travel the world by using his melodic voice.

βThe world has so much to offer to musicians and I am willing to grow my craft and travel to countries I always dream of. Each day I nurture this talent and challenge myself by singing more popular songs such as Speak by Loyiso and songs sung by Lebo Sekgobela,β he said.
Offering motivational words to young individuals who feel like giving up in life, Mthimkhulu said βNever give up on your talent. Young people should always focus on grooming their talent and go far in life.β
