Burning desire for sex drives boyfriend to torch lover’s shack

A 33-year-old man in Ext. 7 has been arrested after setting his girlfriend’s shack alight because she denied his plea for sex last Sunday.

A 33-year-old man in Ext. 7 has been arrested after setting his girlfriend’s shack alight because she denied his plea for sex last Sunday.
According to Const Kelebogile Trom, the Ikageng SAPS spokesperson, the victim was at home with her two children and 33-year-old boyfriend at about 01:00 on Sunday. The boy-friend demanded sex but the woman told him she had an infection.
“According to the girlfriend, he became aggressive and chased her out of the shack. She took her children and fled to the main house in the yard and locked the door behind her.
“The boyfriend soon followed her and wanted to get into the main house, but the woman refused to let him in.
After putting the two children to bed, she went to the kitchen and looked through the window.
“That is when she noticed that her shack was on fire. She immediately asked the neighbours for help and went to find her father, who was not home at the time. She says the belongings that were lost in the fire amounted to around R21 700 in value,” Trom reported. She warned those in relationships to refrain from destroying the other’s property out of anger.
“They should rather seek professional help when they have problems.”
