Two teens injured following accident

"ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found both the motorbike and the truck in the middle of the lane. Both patients were found on the sidewalk after they were moved by members of the public."

MEYERTON. – ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring  reports that two boys, aged 16 and 17, were injured lalst week when their motorbike rear-ended a truck on Wattle Street in Meyerton.

Meiring says, “ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found both the motorbike and the truck in the middle of the lane. Both patients were found on the sidewalk after they were moved by members of the public.”

Meiring adds that on assessment, paramedics found that both boys had sustained serious injuries.

“Paramedics treated both patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, both were transported to a private hospital for further treatment.”

The driver of the truck  is said to have escaped without injury. Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
