Rear-end collision leaves woman seriously injured

SASOLBURG.- A rear-end Collison between a light motor vehicle and bakkie on the R57 in Sasolburg left one woman seriously injured this morning.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring says,”ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the light motor vehicle up against a tree while the bakkie was parked on the side of the road.”

Meiring further reports that on inspection, paramedics found the woman seated in her vehicle in a serious condition.

“The patient was carefully extricated from the vehicle, treated for her injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patient was transported to Metsimaholo Hospital for further treatment.”

“The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.The cause of the collision is still unknown” Meiring concludes.
