VANDRBIJLPARK. – A man believed to be in his thirties has died after being struck by lightning on Ravel street in Staalrus, Vanderbijlpark.

It’s believed that the man was struck by lightning after sheltering under a tree during a thunderstorm in the area.

When Netcare911 paramedics arrived on scene, they found the man lying under the tree next to his bicycle. Sadly, he had already died.

The man was declared dead on scene by Netcare911 paramedics. This incident happened on Thursday afternoon.
