Zone 3 naked body mystery solved

“The killing of women is escalating around Evaton and Sedibeng. We appeal to the community, especially men, to devise other means of solving problems rather than killing their girlfriends and wives."

SEBOKENG.- The story that made headlines last week about the discovery of a naked young woman in a stream between Sebokeng Zone 3 and Zone 6 has been solved.

The body has been identified as that of Bonolo Dire. Police arrested a 41-year-old man from Lakeside on Friday after an operation by a Sedibeng Trio Task Team left no stone unturned in this case. The suspect is believed to have been the victim’s boyfriend and neighbour.

“They are both from Lakeside Extension 1 near Orange Farm,” said police spokesperson Captain Aubrey Moopeloa. “The killing of women is escalating around Evaton and Sedibeng. We appeal to the community, especially men, to devise other means of solving problems rather than killing their girlfriends and wives.

“The arrested suspect will appear in the Sebokeng Magistrate’s Court on Monday,” explained Moopeloa.
