Sasolburg Home owners: Robbery alert!

The police in Sasolburg warn residents of Sasolburg to be on the lookout for imposters posing as service providers to gain access to homes

Home owners, particularly in Sasolburg, are requested to inform their domestic workers not to allow people into their homes without specific permission.
The suspects target unsuspecting domestic workers by wearing uniforms and pretending that they need to enter to fix something inside the house. Sometimes the robbers pretend to be calling the home owner in the presence of the domestic worker or children and pretend to have a conversation authorizing them to gain access.
Most cases end up with the robbers tying up the people in the house and ransacking the home. Community members are requested to clearly mark their electrical appliances in case they are stolen.
