VEREENIGING. – ER24 reports that a man, believed to be in his 30s, sustained moderate injuries after the vehicle he was in collided with a truck on Houtkop road in Vereeniging this morning.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene just after 07H00, they found a vehicle torn in half. The driver of the vehicle was still entrapped and the fire department had to extricate the man with the jaws of life.

Upon further assessment, paramedics found the man to have sustained moderate injuries. The man was transported to hospital by the Provincial EMS on scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics.
