Eskom restores supply in the Vaal area

'Eskom extends deep gratitude for the patience and understanding demonstrated by all affected parties'

A spokesperson for Eskom Gauteng Corporate Affairs says in a message received this morning (31 May 2018) that the electricity supply has been restored in the areas that were reported to have been affected by the outages in the past two days.
“Power is restored as a result of dedicated Eskom teams of technicians working around the clock to ensure that our customers do not spend extended periods of time without electricity. Supply was restored at 04:00 this morning,” the spokesperson says.
Electricity supply was interrupted in several parts of Sebokeng, Roshnee and other areas surrounding Meyerton after a tipper truck damaged the Seboka substation 88 kV powerlines in Sebokeng zone 7 on Tuesday evening.
Eskom extends deep gratitude for the patience and understanding demonstrated by all affected parties.
Customers are urged to treat all electricity supply cables as live at all times.
