VANDERBIJLPARK. – Six schools will battle it out in the COPA Coca-Cola Regional Play-offs that are scheduled to take place at Isak Steyl Stadium In Vanderbijlpark on Saturday. This good news was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport by coordinator Sello Tshabalala. Tshabalala said the six schools to take part in this regional COPA Coca-Cola are from Sedibeng West, Sedibeng East and South Johannesburg District. Sedibeng Ster Sport can reveal that General Smuts High School is one of those schools that will take part in this regional play-off. The school that will come out on top will represent Sedibeng at the Provincial COPA Coca-Cola . Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Tshabalala said they anticipate stiff competition from the participating schools.

“I have no doubt that the standard of this year’s COPA Coca-Cola will be high taking into consideration that every school wants to go and represent Sedibeng at the provincial level. “We are expecting fireworks and I know some of these six schools are eager to make a name for themselves at this tournament by representing Sedibeng at provincial level,” he told Sedibeng Ster Sport.

*VANDERBIJLPARK. – The OR Tambo Sedibeng Rugby Trials are scheduled to take place at the Isak Steyl Stadium on July 21 from 09:00. The trials are for both boys and girls in u/15. The main purpose for the trials is to select the OR Tambo Sedibeng squad for players born in 2003.
