Well done to these Spanner Athletes who were included in the Free State team for the Nationals in Port Elizabeth!
They are Zain Applegreen (long jump, boys u/15 – 6.2m), Mfiki Zwane (200m boys u/15, time 23.22s) and Phethisang Makhethe (hammerthrow, girls u/17, with 65.5m – a new SA record!)
Headmaster Mr Dirk Coetsee (left in the photo) says he and his school are extremely proud of their athletes.
Baie geluk aan die HTS Sasolburg (Spanners) se atlete wat deel is van die Vrystaatspan wat in Port Elizabeth aan die Suid Afrikaanse kampioenskappe gaan deelneem!
Hulle is Zain Applegreen (verspring, seuns o/15 – afstand 6.2m), Mfiki Zwane (200m seuns o/15, tyd 23.22s) en Phethisang Makhethe (hamergooi, meisies o/17, afstand 65.5m – ‘n nuwe SA rekord!).
Skoolhoof mnr. Dirk Coetsee (links op die foto), sê hy en die hele skool is baie trots op hul atlete.
