VEREENIGING. – Four people were injured this morning, three of them seriously, when two vehicles collided head-on oat the Van Riebeek and Houtkop Road intersection in Vereeniging.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 08h12 to find the two vehicles in the middle of the road. One woman was found seated inside one of the vehicles while three others were found walking around the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that three women had sustained serious injuries while a man had sustained moderate injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries, and the seriously injured provided with pain-relief medication before they were transported to Sebokeng and Kopanong Provincial Hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
