DE DEUR.- A dark ,tall , slim built and short dread-locked shangaan speaking suspect is being sought by the De Deur police following numerous rape cases that occurred in Williersfarm, De Deur during the 2018 festive season.
De Deur police say that a victim was from Baragwanath Hospital and on her way home in Williersfarm during December last year at around 19:00 and was too scared to walk home alone. She then called her brother in-law to come accompany her home. While she waited for her brother in-law to arrive an unknown male walking on the opposite side of the road offered to accompany her home, the victim agreed and suddenly the suspect took out a pistol and pointed it at the victim, he then dragged her to a nearby open field and raped her.
“Following further investigations other victims of sexual assault gave the same description of the suspect,” police said.
The suspect is dark in completion ,tall in height, slim built ,has short dreads and speaks shangaan. Anyone with information regarding the suspect can call the investigating detectives on 082 778 7936 or 082 213 6953.
