VEREENIGING. – The Vereeniging Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda reports that the theft of motor vehicles is still rife in Three Rivers, with the targetted make of the vehicle shifting from VW Polo to Toyota.
This is after a few Toyota Vehicles were recovered in Orange Farms.“The community is further warned not to display their jewellery or their IT equipment while walking in the CBD as there are thieves that will take them.
“Again, we would like to warn the community to stop paying money in exchange for employment as this is just a scam. No company will ask for money for one to be employed.
The same goes to people that are getting messages that they have won competitions and they must deposit money for their price money to be released.”
“The total number of house robberies reported is high this past week, hence we are telling home owners to warn their helpers not to open for people that pretending to be contractors coming to do work in their homes.
