EVATON.- Passers-by nearly fainted when they made a dreadful discovery of a decayed skeleton of a newborn baby in Evaton last Tuesday.
It is said that the discovery of a decomposed body of a newly born baby whose sex could not be identified was made at around 10:00 by passers-by on an open field between Evaton North and Wilberforce College.
The body was covered in a white towel and a blue worn out plastic bag.
Evaton Police spokesperson Captain Aubrey Moopeloa said that it is suspected that the body might have been dumped between a few weeks to a month ago.
“At first the two passers-by thought that they were seeing a dead domestic animal but on informing the Ward Councillor they agreed to call the police who confirmed that it was a decomposed body of a newborn baby.”
Police experts were summoned to the scene for further investigation.
