‘Attorney moves without paying his domestic worker’

"I'll make it my personal mission in life to put this right!"

Ster/Vaalweekblad reader Adele Hoffman writes:

My domestic worker also worked for a couple who lived in an upmarket golf estate… When she arrived for work on Tuesday, these people have moved. They owe her R1 350 (plus a month’s notice pay). What is making me so mad is the guy is a labour law attorney. I found them on Facebook and send them private messages. No response.

They have the domestic worker’s cell number but haven’t made contact with her yet. I will post their photo and details all over Facebook if they do not contact her before end of today.

We will also go to the CCMA and see a laywer and it will become my personal mission in life to put this right.
