Vereeniging.- While busy with high visibility patrols in Vereeniging Warrant officer Hatting and Reservist Constable Laubscher received information about a person that was kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint.

“A lookout was given and the vehicle was found together with the victim inside the vehicle.  The victim pointed out the two suspects. The two suspects was immediately arrested and detained,” Warrant Officer Martin Seaman said in a statement.

“With further investigation a 9mm luger pistol which belonged to the one suspect was found and seized as an exhibit as well as the R800 rand the suspects withdrew from the ATM with the complainant’s bank card.”

The two suspects aged between 25 and 34 was arrested and appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrates court. The case is still ongoing.
