SEDIBENG.- 2020 is indeed a year of plenty opportunities for Semakaleng Moeketsi (43). At her age Moeketsi is enjoying and embracing her matured, fully figured body.
Moeketsi is the Face of Curvy Fab Couture (a local clothing brand for PlusSize women), which is featured on Zando, an online catalogue. She is a finalist for Miss Gauteng PlusSize Pageant which will host its finals on the 28 March at Soweto Theatre.
Moeketsi is making waves on social media platforms and is currently one of the Top32 #FaceofDollMeUp competition and has entered Africa’s Next PlusSize Model, which is a reality show for 12 PlusSize ladies.
“This is my year to shine,” says Moeketsi adding that most thick women have been through a lot because of society shaming them but her struggle as a thick girl is quite different.
“I wear my confidence daily and wish to encourage young girls who are thick to love who they are and not allow anyone to look down on them.”
