Local youngster to be promoted to Chiefs’ 1st team
SEDIBENG. - With his current performance for Kaizer Chiefs MDC team , Vaal born young star, Lebohang “Lord Guluva” Lesako (20) is hailed as the next Jabu Mahlangu (formerly Pule) . The young man has already caught the attention of mainstream media.
Soccer Laduma this week indicated that he might be promoted to Kaizer Chiefs’ senior soccer team for the 2020/2021 season after his outstanding performance in the MDC for the better part of the season.
He is among the MDC top leading goal scorers having scored eight goals this season.
The newspaper reported that indications are that Lesako is among the youngsters set to be promoted to the Kaizer Chiefs senior team for the 2020/2021 season. This is because of his consistent performance for Chiefs MDC team under the leadership of Arthur Zwane.
Lesako has been regarded as the next Jabu Pule for his exciting talent which leaves many of his markers sprawling on the turf every time he is on the ball.
Lesako has been training with Chiefs’ senior team in the mornings and with the MDC team in the afternoons, and this is a clear indication that he is being monitored. He was also part of Kaizer Chiefs’ senior team that participated at the friendly tournaments such as Makhufe Cup and Hlilux Cup. Lesako joined Kaizer Chiefs’ development team at the age of 15 in 2015 from Vaal based Nale Academy. Sabelo Radebe is another youngster from Vaal who has also been shining for Kaizer Chiefs MDC team this season forming a deadly combination with Lesako.
