Ramaphosa authorises additional 2820 members to SANDF

The spread of Covid-19 continues to increase across South Africa.

SEDIBENG. President Cyril Ramaphosa has authorised the employment of 2820 members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) for a service in cooperation with the South African Police Service (SAPS). In a statement, Ramaphosa said, “This is in order to maintain law and order, support other state departments and control our border line to combat the spread of Covid-19 in all nine provinces.”

The spread of Covid-19 continues to increase across South Africa.

The employment of the additional forces is for the period  2 April to 26 June 2020.
