Sports is not above life

Former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs stars Jerry Sikhosana and Brian Baloyi said there must no rush to start the Premier Soccer League (PSL) games.

Speaking to eNCA Sport Sikhosana said sports is not more important than life and PSL must not rush until Coronavirus is fully under control.
His sentiments were echoed by his former counterpart Baloyi, who believed it is not safe to resume with league matches now.
The two used to play against each other when Pirates and Chiefs battled out in the Soweto derby which regarded as one of the biggest derbies in the world.
“Sports is not above life, let us wait until we are sure that everyone will be safe when the league resume.  We must not rush things just because we want to finish the league”, said Sikhosana who is also analyst for SuperSport Football Channel.
Sikhosana said he wouldn’t mind to give the league title to Kaizer Chiefs but at the same time Mamelodi Sundowns will complain because they believe they have a good chance to over take Chiefs at the top of the log.
This is the same situation in the GladAfrican Championship, formerly National First Division (NFD).
As things stands, Cape Town Ajax is at the top of the log with Swallows FC second placed on the log standing.
This is the reason why it will be difficult for PSL to hand over the league title to the top teams.
