Mthethwa responded to the question asked by members of the media during the COVID-19 Level 4 briefing yesterday. He told the journalists that he had a meeting with the PSL Chairman Irvin Khoza and Kaizer Chiefs chairman Kaizer Motaung and told them that they must come with a collective proposal when PSL is ready to restart. Mthethwa said he told both Khoza and Moutang when they come back to him they must come with one voice in their next meeting.

He also indicated that he intends to meet with SAFA President Danny Jordaan. Mthethwa said he could have already met with Jordaan but the problem is that he stays far with the country still under lockdown. “I told both Mr Khoza and Mr Motaung when we meet again I expected one voice. I expect them to come with a collective decisions as far as their proposal when are ready to restart with PSL games. We will take it from there, obvious we as government will consult with relevant stakeholders if we are ready to start or not”, said Mthethwa. Mthethwa said he was told by PSL Chairman Irvin Khoza that they have scheduled PSL board meeting where all proposals will made on Thursday.
