Midvaal head offices close as first case of Covid-19 confirmed

SEDIBENG. – The Midvaal Local Municipality offices were shut down after a suspected case of COVID-19 tested positive yesterday (Thursday).

The municipality said that the offices, in Meyerton, were closed immediately after the confirmation of the case for a period of 14 days as per the COVID-19 regulations.

“The Municipality has adopted a protocol which is part of the precautionary measures recommended by the national department of health which require members self-quarantine and work from home. All employees of Head Office will be required to be tested for COVI D-19 within the 14 days of Quarantine. On return to work, proof needs to be provided on the results of these tests.”
