BOPHELONG.- Bophelong residents who qualified for Social Grant’s and Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) queued to receive food parcels distributed by the Department of Social Development at the Bophelong Extension 16 Community Hall recently.
Community members coming from all the Extensions of Muvhango, Bophelong and other areas that had received the food parcels, queued.
Those who could not receive the food parcels as their names were not captured, told Sedibeng Ster that there’s no proper control, as they saw some of their neighbours (for example a family of three in the same house) spread their numbers on the queue.
Coordinators, Thandi Mteka assisted by Lulu Shiluvanes, said they observed that about 1000 residents received the parcels without any hiccups.
