VANDERBIJLPARK.- “We are not considered by government until, just before an election. We are more than vote cows,” this was said by the Chairperson of the Youth Forum, from Mullerstuin Smalholding, Lefa Latha recently.
Latha says their complain remains that they are always the last people considered by government for jobs. Most of these youth live in and around local farms doing absolutely nothing, except staying at home, and clear of crime.However, their predicament is like a fuse to a bomb. They complained that their Community Liaison Officer (CLO), who lives in the township of Polokong in Sebokeng only hires people who live nearby his place.
