Double tragedy for young mother

"I don’t know what I have done to deserve this kind of punishment."

EVATON. – A double tragedy befell a young Small Farms, Evaton, mother recently.
Mariam Khala (29) lost her two children in separate incidents within hours of each other. Firstly she lost her 10-months-old baby boy because of an illness after she had taken him to his father not far from where she lives, and upon her return to her shack to collect the child’s birth certificate, the second horrific incident befell her when she noticed that her shack was on fire. Another of her children, Itumeleng Khala (7), burned to death inside the shack.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Khala said,  “I left my daughter alone at around 12:00 and took my little baby to his father because he was very sick. But when we got to his father’s place he unfortunately died. When I went back to my place I found my shack on fire and people trying to help put out the fire but it was too late. I don’t know what I have done to deserve this kind of punishment.”
