Sedibeng municipal manager assassinated in parking lot

ALBERTON.- The Municipal Manager of the Sedibeng District Municipality, Stanley Khanyile, was apparently fatally injured in a shooting at the Meyersdal Square Shopping Centre in Meyersdal south of Johannesburg.

The incident is said to have occurred on Saturday.

According to reports Khanyile was shot several times while waiting in his luxury German sedan.

The suspects are said to have fled the scene in the direction of the R59 in a vehicle.

No arrests have been made.
