Orange Farm women appears in court for child killings
The case was postponed until next week.
VEREENIGING. – The woman facing the kidnapping and murder charges of two children from Orange Farm, will have the opportunity to apply for bail next week. The 29-year-old, Pontsho Mohlanka, appeared briefly in the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 5 October, but the case was postponed until next week. Mohlanka is accused of kidnapping and killing Simphiwe Mncina (6) and Mpho Makondo (8). The children were last seen walking home from a local hair salon on Friday 18 September. One of the children’s bodies was found on a street in Orange Farm on the morning of 19 September, with the other body about 100 meters away. She remains in custody.
