Pastors’ rape case postponed
“This man doesn’t show remorse.”
VANDERBIJLPARK.- “This man doesn’t show remorse.”
These were the words of a mother of a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by a 39-year-old pastor in Muvhango, Bophelong in June this year.
The pastor appeared in Vanderbijlpark Magistrate Court on Friday but once again, the case was postponed to 14 November.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the mother said the pastor, who is known to this paper, doesn’t show remorse for what he has done.
“This case is taking forever and I want to see this man behind bars for what he did to my daughter. We are told that investigations have been concluded but the case keeps on being postponed. I want justice because the man has shown no remorse. He destroyed my daughter’s future and he must pay for this,” said the mother.
The mother said her child is recovering well and she was told by her teacher that she is coping. She also revealed to Sedibeng Ster that she was told that the state has booked her daughter for counselling on 12 October.
